Nicki Minaj endorsing Trump heading into a Scorpio New Moon

Scorpio Season opens up supportive energy for the integration and alchemising of the dark while the 28 day cycle of the New Moon opens a channel to call in what we want more of in our lives. During this season, Nicki Minaj felt it was her obligation to endorse Donald Trumps MAGA campaign through (re)posts on TikTok and X. 

Not only that, but as the gap between the Sun and Moon in Scorpio was becoming tighter, she took stage and microphone at a United Nations conference advocating for an international cause that Trump raised flags on. This led me to look at her astrology imprint from the day she was born, to theorise what could be influencing her. I should probably state here, that;

In more serious news, the context of the cause Nicki Minaj took a stand for was to end the killings of Christians in Nigeria as the US president previously announced plans for military intervention. Of course, no type of religiosity should equal murder, and all people suffering injustice in Nigeria/globally should receive collective support.

There’s a lot that can be said about American intervention on this course, but I am not a political analyst. However, I do use astrology to analyse people, situations and events, so let me go ahead and do that.

For this, I am using what we call the Transit chart. This is looking at how 2 charts interact with each-other. In simple terms, I’m looking at how the Scorpio New Moon chart (20/11/2025) reflects on the chart of the day that Nicki was born. To start this, let me highlight - The channels that illuminate during a Scorpio New Moon 

A moon becomes ‘New’ when it joins the Sun at the same degree point, this happens every 28 days and it provides us with an energetic opening to set intentions for manifestation. When this happens in Scorpio, it provides energy to -

• Declare all things around Power - how powerful do we feel? what power source are we tuned into? where do we aspire to gain power? what/who do we deem powerful and what is our relationship with them/that? 

• Set intentions of what we want to bind or unbind through investing our energy and money - think about attachments or habits that we want to call in or detach from. This leads onto the third channel I will highlight here - 

• Considering the bonds we want to create, as these will move forward into the emergence of our new selves. This is because Scorpio rules the processes of death, transformation and rebirth therefore, there is a innate desire to integrate which underpins Scorpio energy.

So these are the channels that were open for all of us collectively with the 2025 Scorpio New Moon happening at 28 degrees of Scorpio. However, reflecting this onto the 1982 chart of Nicki’s born day, it was hitting the Jupiter placement which sits at 26 degrees of Scorpio. In Astrology language this means that this Scorpio New Moon was in a 2degree conjunction with her Jupiter placement.

 In addition, it was also in a 4degree opposition with the Chiron in Taurus Placement. So let me explain the energy of these astrological interactions and link in why these points are significant to her behaviour this past week or so. 

You can see these points on the chart in the red cricle. The circle at the top in orange is the Sun and the Moon together, beneath that is in blue is Jupiter at 26 degrees on the date Nicki was born and on the opposite side is Chiron which looks like a key.

(Transiting) Scorpio New Moon conjunct (Natal) Jupiter Placement

Jupiter acts a magnifier, so the energy of other planets expand through Jupiter when they interact with it. When people are doing too much or exaggerating their position on important matters - like Nicki currently with Trumps Nigeria concern - it’s the Jupiter in their astrology chart talking. The Sun an Moon created a peak of Scorpio energy for the collective, but for Nicki it was in surplus because Jupiter is essentially a magnifying glass.

Let me highlight how unintegrated Scorpio energy can be destructive -

(1) Too much unprocessed Scorpio energy → (2) an attempt to control perceived threats → (3) gaining a sense of counterfeit integrity, as a result of appeasing the threat. 

So, how does this sequence relate to Nicki?

1. Her Scorpio energy was amplified by this New Moon hitting her Jupiter  

2. She partners with Trump, endorsing the MAGA campaign - the collective threat to immigrants and minoritised groups 

3. She achieves a false sense of integrity by being a part of the international concern for saving Christians in Nigeria - ignoring the likeliness that there are ill-exploitative intentions behind the proclamation.

Over the years online we’ve watched Nicki fight to reaffirm her power, I believe there are thing(s) in her life experience that are making her feel powerless i.e. her beef with Roc Nation (keeping it minimal here). Of course, it’s normal to feel powerless, we all have seasons of this, but with her recurring social media feuds it appears that her fight for power is chronic. 

It’s from this place I believe that Nicki has chose to be an ally to Trump, to plug into the far-right in need of a power source. Keep this in mind whilst I explain the next astrological transit affecting Nicki at this time -

(Transiting) Scorpio New Moon opposing the (Natal) placement of Chiron in Taurus

Every sign has an opposite, and the opposite to Scorpio is Taurus. While with Scorpio we are pulled down under water, Taurus remains with feet on the ground. Taurus does this because it’s the sign of security, comfort and pleasure. Chiron is the wounded healer and so it gives astrologers context on the wounds a soul came into this life-time with. All souls have wounds that we’re healing, Nicki is a soul who’s Chiron was in Taurus on the day she was born.

See, the Moon opposes our Chiron placement every 28 days-ish, so we all get a window where there is enhanced energetic support to overcome our fears and integrate our wounds. This time around, it happened for Nicki while the Moon was paired with the Sun in Scorpio, providing a more public opportunity to do said overcoming and integration.  

During this time, as an online collective, we witnessed Nicki overcome her fear of political proclamation throughout Scorpio Szn, and as the Moon tightened the gap to the Sun she took stage and microphone IRL. She opened her speech at United Nations stating how nervous she was, (the intensity and sensitivity of her astrological transits would do this // and of course nerves are a normal part of being a human).

However, I would go as far to saying Nicki was overcoming a fear of IRL public speaking and publicly spotlighting herself. As this is the first time she has spoke in public since airing out many conflicts with people in positions of power, online.

There were many ways Nicki could have reinstated a sense of power, but the way she  done this, this time around is by endorsing the president of the United States -regardless of his harmful political position, abusive tactics, misdemeanour and history. 

Furthermore, as as an astrologer there is a question I am always brought back to - does public popularity come with a higher sensitivity to, not only human energy, but cosmic energy to?
