We're all tired but here's what December wants from you

First and foremost, let’s be clear that you set your aim and your target! For some that may be rest & health, for others it may be productivity & work. Just something to keep in mind whilst reading this piece and reflecting on how this energy may be manifesting for you. 

The symbol of Sagittarius is a bowing arrow, and rightly so. An arrow released from a bowstring flys towards a target, on the way it remains open to shifting its position depending on what it learns about the environment that it’s moving through. It’s strongest force - its faith - a Sagittarius keyword. This determines how high and far the arrow travels before reaching new territory - a Sagittarius primary function.

The tea on Sag in this article is not limited to being understood through the energy of December, but can also be applied to people born with Sagittarius placements! So if that’s you or somebody you know, more reason to keep reading.  

December is about having Optimism (sagittarius) to attain Mastery (Capricorn) it wants you to establish your position, aim high and shoot your shot, for some you may have shot already and have more in your arsenal. For others, allow this article to be your prompt. 

The shot(s) you shoot in December land somewhere in the mountains of Capricorn which will then be climbed by you, the goat the symbol of Capricorn. See, what you set in motion during Sagittarius season becomes the mountain you rise to in Capricorn.

This is because Sagittarius holds the potential to gain profound insight that can equip you with with wisdom to begin building your structure later in December and into January.

So, to embody the power of Sagittarius, December wants you to reach a well rounded conclusion. This will become the wisdom that underpins the transition to the next sign Capricorn, where you reach new heights, revel in excellence and experience accomplishment.

What’s worth highlighting about December, is along with various Hindu cultures, the Hebrew calendar and Thai New Year - as an Astrologer, I resonate more with March-April marking the annual end and beginning than December-January

Studying Astrology, I do see December as indicating some type of ending, but an ending that lasts 4 months not 1. 

The start to an end of December is that of the elemental cycle within the Zodiac. As the Sun moves through each element for a final time, this starts with Sagittarius ushering us with a season of Fire, before the cycle restarts 4 months later in March (Pisces). Furthermore, this aligns with Spring Equinox!

I explain that to emphasise what December calls of us - to tap into the burning desire to cover more surface area in a well-informed way. This then precedes a smooth progression into Capricorn, where you can exemplify being the disciplined achiever - a Capricorn archetype. 

So, the key link here between Sagittarius and Capricorn is that the new territory that is expanded to during Sagittarius Season, gets built on in Capricorn and since the first 21 days of December is governed by Sagittarius, let’s zoom in a bit more. 

What could a Sagittarius process look like?

Think about a complex algebra equation; it requires the application of the knowledge you’ve gained and lots of scribbles of abstract information to help you get to the answer (conclusion). For it to be accurate, it has to have been well-informed. This whole process is Sagittarian, because the answer then enables Capricorn construction! 

Another way to describe a Sagittarius process is writing a list of bullet points, identifying the thread that connects them all. Panning out each point with the knowledge you’ve gained, guided by a moral compass. From here you can form a theory, an essay, an action plan. The challenge of this Sag’ practice is not writing the points down but ensuring you reach a well-rounded & informed conclusion. 

Essentially Sagittarius is the process of synthesising information. However, in its fall - information is spewed out whilst the learning process is still occurring. I’m not saying that it’s wrong to communicate what you’re learning on-job, that’s healthy! 

But, during Sag season, a vulnerability to shooting out information without allowing it to go through a process can occur. Kind of like impulsively concluding how food has digested even though you’re yet to start chewing. 

To avoid this - establish your position, angle and tone you’re declaring information from, so that you can make it clear if you’re sharing information with certainty because you’ve done the research or with consideration because you’re still pondering with it.

So wrapping up, on what December wants from you, it’s Optimism (Sagittarius) to attain Mastery (Capricorn). In addition, it doesn’t want you to jump to conclusions without doing the research, and it does not want you to finish people’s sentences without giving them the space to fully articulate and express.
